Mosaicthump is happy to present the remarkable Frank McComb for the very first time in Detroit. This will be an unforgettable evening of Jazz, funk and soul as this show will feature Yolanda Johnson in her return performance that is sure to secure her legendary status as someone to be reckoned with in the industry. The special guest for this show is none other than Detroit's premiere jazz vocalist Penny Wells. Get there early as there will be plenty of surprises including the premier performance of Detroit's newest soulful secret Valencia.

Frank McComb uses his status as an "independent artist" to create some of the most progressive and diverse music on the scene today. He also creates and distributes his own music on his own terms. The best description for the music he creates is 70's throwback. Frank's mature, ballad-heavy music is rippling with cues from Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. This is not a show where one can sit on their hands and hum along listlessly; it's a good old fashioned soulful ride to the seventies audiences are not soon to forget.

Yolanda Johnson's charming single, "Individual can be heard daily on BETJ's "Soul Sessions." Yolanda Johnson's hit single is the theme song for the popular alternative R&B video show. That song, paired with Johnson being named "Soul Sessions' Breakout Artist of 2006," has raised the profile of the young California-based singer and songwriter. Yolanda is indeed an "individual" artist, seeking to heal others through her captivating songs on her latest disc, Violet Flower. She left Detroit wanting more in her last performance; how could she possibly top her debut performance? Just wait and see.

Penny Wells continues to shine as the true jazzy jewel of Detroit. Her sultry and sophisticated sound has come from a background of vocal music styles such as Jazz, Classical, Spirituals and Gospel. She has studied at Wayne State University, Department for Music and Performing Arts and the Detroit Community Music School of Arts. Penny's debut album has been called "Soothing, Honest and Inspirational…" by the Detroit Metro Times.
