(July 1, 2025) Fans of Quiet Storm romantic soul will want to follow Tanqueray Hayward’s lead on her sensual new single, “Follow Me.” The ballad, which drops on July 4, will create an atmosphere that will lead to ignition of fireworks of the intimate variety.
The song finds Hayward giving voice to those times when a lady wants to play the leading role in guiding her partner through an evening of romance. “Follow Me” has a stripped down, percussive arrangement that features rhythmic finger snaps that ride on the wave of seductively funky keyboard work.
Vocally, Hayward is at her best as she sweetly instructs her lover how they can make the evening memorable. The hook says it all: Follow me tonight/and don’t turn on the light/don’t wanna waste no time getting it right/so won’t you follow me tonight.
