Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber are briefly duet mates

For a brief moment there, Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber were duet mates. And then it was gone. According to Billboard magazine, Bieber had been tweeting teases for a week about the collab, indicating “”Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat fans.”

Then last Friday, the song “Slave 2 The Rhythm” was posted online and then summarily yanked after complaints from Jackson’s label. The song, recorded by Jackson as part of his Invincible sessions, was later remixed with Bieber’s vocals added.

When and if the song will again see the light of day is unknown. But we wouldn’t bet against it…
