Lenny Kravitz out, Jesse L. Martin in for Marvin Gaye biopic

Well, that didn’t last long. In November it was announced to great fanfare that that Lenny Kravitz would be portraying Marvin Gaye in the upcoming Julien Temple-produced movie, Sexual Healing, about the deceased Motown great and his time in Europe in the early 80s. Now Deadline.com has reported that Kravitz is out and will be replaced by Jesse L. Martin, who ironically was slated for the role before Kravitz. Confused? Well, we’ll believe it all when we see it. Filming is slated to begin in the Spring.
