USA Today has reported that soul giant Chaka Khan and Gospel great BeBe Winans are
joining the Broadway cast of The Color Purple early next year, playing the roles of Sophie and Harpo. The newspaper also reports that American Idol finalist LaKisha Jones will also be on board as the play continues its New York run.
