October 2, 2020 – Detroit, MI – After receiving the stamp of approval from musical luminaries Anita Baker and Teddy Riley for his latest album, The Love Factor,” the Quincy Jones-endorsed producer Brandon Williams returns to release his acoustic album, Vulnerable.” The release takes a deeper look into hand-picked material from his critically acclaimed albums, The Love Factor and XII.

Vulnerable features stripped-down versions of fan favorites Leave Love Be and In Love which features second-generation music royalty Alex Isley and Brian McKnight Jr. The album gives Williams’s discography a whole new look. With strong melodies at the forefront, storytelling lyricism, and mesmerizing vocal performances, the album radiates uninhibited soothing energy and each track has its role in the album.

“Vulnerability is very important to me,” said Williams, a Detroit native. I feel that when you strip away the layers in relationships, and in this case, music, perfection can be seen inside of the imperfections. With this album, I wanted to pull the covers back on some of my songs to showcase the immense beauty within them and allow the listener to hear these works in a refreshing and more open way. Artists often try to make perfect works vocally and musically, but here, I wanted to showcase some of the ‘noise because I feel that it is a part of the human experience.

The acoustic makeover of songs from the nine-track album, which features Multi-Grammy Award Winning Bassist Marcus Miller, Simon Novsky, Taylor Eigsti, Artia Lockett, and others, radiate a powerful aura that will have music aficionados hooked. With a distinctive style all his own, Williams maintains a fully charged arsenal of high-quality music that supports the fact that he is set to make a strong impact on the music industry and the charts for years to come. He continues to show the world his artistic versatility with this release, and it will leave people wanting more.

Williams says, “In the middle of a global pandemic when so many people are dealing with the loss of life and a failing economy, I feel that this album of ‘adult lullabies’ is filled with exactly the type of beauty that we need in the world right now.”
