Walker began singing professionally as a teen, opening for local shows by major artists. Her big break came when she signed with Avanti Records and released her 1998 debut album, Baby I’m The Real Thing. She followed with Ain’t Nothing Like A Big Woman in 2002 (also the name of her most recognized hit), You Didn’t Take My Man, You Took My Problem in 2004, Doing It Big, Don’t Hate, and most recently Return of the Female Mack.
Big Cynthia was a big talent with a great voice and a sense of humor that always showed in her work. She will be missed.
