In this edition of Soul Talk Interviews, Wes Berwise talks soulfully with New Jersey born and bred singer-songwriter and producer, Eric Roberson.
Erro waxes lyrical about how his every experience, good and bad, inspires him to take to his studio and express his emotion with music and lyrics. His first single, “The Moon”, was released through Warner Bros. Records in 1994 and recorded an album for that label which remains unreleased. He then set up his own label ‘Blue Erro Soul’ and releases a further 10 studio and 1 live album.
His BET, Soul Train and 2 Grammy nominations show just how respected he is as a song-writer and performer and why he is so popular with other artists, having worked with Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Dwele and Charlie Wilson, and others to many too mention.
Ultimately, Eric Roberson in his own words wants to produce the best music and be the king of pancake making!
