Back on July 11th, shortly after its release as a single, we raved in a First Listen about the slow-burning, sultry soul of “The Weekend” by SZA, which she had then just performed live on the BET Awards. We know a hit when we hear one: The RIAA has just certified the single as having reached the platinum sales mark!
