Angela Johnson has been a SoulTracks favorite from the start. She was one of the first artists we ever reviewed nearly 10 years ago and she is a two time SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award winner. So it was only natural that Angie would be the headliner at the SoulTracks 10th anniversary celebration in New York last month, presented by Soul Factory.
Well, Angela Johnson was better than ever that night, and has the audience on their feet repeatedly during her nine song performance. And she finished the show with an audience favorite: the upbeat cut “Better.” The performance was captured on camera and we’re so glad it was.
