Longtime SoulTrackers remember the auspicious debut a few years of the great band, Marcell & the Truth. Led by the expressive baritone and songwriting of Marcell Russell, they were nominated for multiple SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards and became an instant favorite. Well, it’s been awhile since we’ve heard from the great Mr. Russell, but thankfully he’s back with a terrific new song and a moving video about moving forward and letting go of the “baggage” that holds us down.
