(October 11, 2018) Mariah Carey has had the kind of career — with wild ups and downs — that should be the subject of a four hour mini-series. But, despite those extreme highs and lows, or maybe because of them, she remains a compelling star, more than a quarter century after she first won us over with “Vision of Love.”
For her latest re-emergence, Mariah has released a ballad that has more of an old school feel than anything she’s done in awhile. “With You” is a ballad that has a vibe similar to her 2006 hit “We Belong Together,” though not as hooky. And the newly released video is classic Mariah: equally engaging and self-absorbed, it takes us through her various sexy poses as she moves from city to beach and back.
We expect that many of Mariah’s fans will dig “With You,” and we admit that even when her game isn’t completely on, we enjoy hearing new music from Mariah Carey. Check it out below and tell us what you think.
