Last year we wrote about Gospel newcomer Zacardi Cortez and he’s been a rising star worth watching. He’s back on the charts this week with “1 on 1,” an intimate ballad that is the first single from a new compilation that we expect will soon top the charts. Independent gospel CEO Kerry Douglas, known for putting James Fortune & FIYA and Earnest Pugh on the music map, has just released the latest in his Kerry Douglas Presents series, Gospel Mix Volume VI available digitally today via Worldwide Music, Inc./RED Distribution.
“This is the best gospel mix yet,” Douglas says of the 15-track compilation. “I’m grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to work with talented artists like James Fortune, Keith Wonderboy Johnson and Earnest Pugh in the beginning of their careers and to help take them to the top. I’ve got a new set of artists that I’m looking forward to taking to the next level and everybody can hear them on this new Gospel Mix.”
