(November 21, 2021) Verne “VA” Allison began playing drums as a child, and his musical talent came naturally. His father, Verne Allison, was a vocalist for the legendary vocal group The Dells.
As the younger Allison grew, so did his musical reach, serving as songwriter, musician and producer, working in the studio with such acts as Nick Colionne, The Dells, and Marqueal Jordan and on tour with The Emotions and Bloodstone.
But Verne is also a vocalist, and he brings his smooth soulful tenor to his first Christmas song. “Spend Christmas With You.” Inspired by an uncle who wanted to have a joyous song to capture the feelings of the holiday, Verne worked to create that gem. “We took our time writing and re-writing the lyrics, music and vocal arrangements, we really wanted to make a beautiful memorable song.”
Working with noted songwriter and producer Mike Logan, Sr., Verne has accomplished his goal, creating a lovely, light song about love at Christmas. Check out “Spend Christmas With You” below.
