February 3, 2017 — The Skins are a family affair, consisting of Bayli McKeithan on lead vocals, sister Kaya on bass, brother Reef on drums, and friends Daisy Spencer and Russell Chell on guitars. Hailing from Brooklyn, the band’s sound initially trended towards soulful, alternative rock and impressed fans and critics alike.
But for their major label debut EP, Still Sleep, released last December, The Skins have added R&B and hip hop colors to their palette, and the results are entrancing. We feature here the visual for “Runaway,” a head-nodder with gospel choir-like supporting vocals and a delightful splash of pop. Enjoy.
