(November 19, 2018) For a few years now we’ve been following the career of super-talented singer Teri Tobin. One of the indie soul faves, she has continued to bring her fans music with real emotional depth, always combined with her expressive vocals. And earlier this year, she rewarded them again with the moving single, “Smile Again,” accompanied by a video that told the story of an unexpected love found.
Now Teri is returning with a beautiful ballad that is the natural follow up to “Smile Again.”
As she tells us, “’Heaven’ picks up where ‘Smile Again’ left off… In the ‘Smile Again’ video, you never see my love’s face to symbolize his presence more so than his physical attributes. The chemistry, the tenderness between us and the potency of the lyrics come to life in ‘Heaven.’ As a full-figured and curvy woman, I also want to tell our love stories that often don’t get told. In movies we are usually cast as the sassy best friend or aggressive but VERY SINGLE friend…rarely the love interest. I love the lyric ‘heaven right here on earth for me’ and hope it evokes the notion that this kind of love exists for all of us and we deserve it.“
Teri heard the song, written by Brandon “Truth” Adams and Eunice Love, a few years ago, and she fell in love with it for its beautiful and pure message. And she not only sings it wonderfully, but also shows it in the new video, directed by Driven Media Group – though she does leave us with a bit of a cliffhanger at the end.
We’re proud to present the World Premiere of “Heaven.” Check it out below and tell us what you think!
