First Listen: TROOP alum Steven Russell Harts goes out front on “You Do That Thing To Me”

You may know the name Steven Russell Harts from his years as one of the lead vocalists of the 1980s group TROOP. But Steven has been spending the last two decades as an in demand songwriter and producer, working with such notables as Keith Sweat, Mario, Chris Brown, Monica and many more. He even won a Grammy Award in 2009 for his song “Invisible” for Jennifer Hudson and he topped the charts with “No Air” for Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown.

Steven has just issued his first solo project, The Wedding Singer, and he is ready to  show both his songwriting and his singing chops. And we’re happy to be presenting the World Premiere of Steven’s new song, “You Do That Thing To Me.” It is a great mid-tempo about a man who is throwing away his old “playa” life for the right woman.

Check out “You Do That Thing To Me” below and tell us what you think!
