Enduring the ups, downs and other turbulences in life happen to everyone, but few of them can pour those events into soliloquies that compel you to sway or sing along, such as with the irresistible, yet unsure ode to burgeoning love “Round ‘n Round.”: “Got clear directions but you keep on spinning, not down to play but you got stuck on winning.”
Shaynah wants a path to move forward and invites him in, yet the player in her sights is talking big game and flirting from the sidelines. Should she coax him closer, or bid him adieu? Most of us have been there, but few put it as nimbly as she.
Part of the newly-released EP, Chapter 22: NAKED, “Round n’ Round” is just a taste of the artistic buffet that Shaynah is serving up, brimming with perspective, flavor and heart. Young enough to continue pushing the boundaries of her musical menu and confident enough to know that if one serving doesn’t perk up your particular palette, there are others that will.
