(June 3, 2022) We started following the pandemic-inspired R&B band Output/Input last year, and we haven’t looked back. Helmed by producer/multi-instrumentalist Melvin Lee Davis (O’Bryan, Chaka Khan) with the Triple H Horn (Nick Mead, Jacob Shaw, and Patrick Hayes), the band has been laying down a series of great singles, with additional musicians Jay Williams (drums), Adam Kovacs (percussion) Kanghyun Bu (Guitar), Daeun Kim (Keyboard), and Jesse Milliner (keyboard) and incredible guest vocalists on board.
For their newest single, the O/I team brings in Philly native Antonio McLendon, who has been called “one of the best kept secrets in soul music.” Well, the secret is out with us, as Mr. McLendon rips it up beautifully on “I’m In Love,” the upbeat, horn-filled new single from songwriting duo Mark Love and Noval Smith.
