(December 12, 2024) Over the years, Detroit’s Laura Rain has perfected a sound that effectively captures the best of 60 and 70’s Soul Music. This success culminated with the release of her 2022 release, Rise Again, with her band The Caesars, which featured the singles “I’m Yours” and the title track.Two years later, Rain returns with more vintage vibes, but comes forward a decade or two with her latest single, “Feels So Right.”
Collaborating with longtime musical partner George Friend, Rain issues a mid tempo groove that delivers on giving listeners a slice of mid 80s R&B. It’s a dance track that is also guided by a rhythm guitar that compliments Rain’s vocals and harmonies perfectly. Singing about her feelings for the one she wants to be with, Rain gives a performance that would make Meli’sa Morgan and Chaka Khan proud.
The first in a series of singles releases entitled Music Is Love, “Feels So Right” showsLaura Rain’s versatility. It’s a song that vocally and musically, fits the title.
