“The Time Is Now” has a definite 1970s vibe, a musical era in which listeners were regularly treated to songs that bore messages of endless possibilities and optimism. The laid-back soulful funk bass line and horns play call-and-response with the backing vocals that provide gentle encouragement that the time has come to make a move.
Tibbs’ main message in “Your Time Is Now” is that circumstances and external challenges aren’t the main obstacle preventing us from reaching our goals.
