(December 24, 2021) Joss Stone first entered our consciousnesses when she was just a powerful-voiced teenager mentored by the late, great Betty Wright, and she has continued to develop as a singer and an artist since then, though sometimes with less fanfare.
For her newest single, quietly released on Christmas Eve, Stone teams with legendary producer Dave Stewart (one-half of the Eurythmics) for a glorious, lush single of love and heartbreak. “Breaking Each Other’s Hearts” is a dramatic ballad of love lost – with a full wall of sound production – and Stone sings her heart out on it. It is great to hear Stone continue to grow in her artistry and successfully stretch into increasingly challenging material.
