Back in August, we were excited to share with SoulTrackers the newrelease from the legendary Earth Wind & Fire with rising R&B star Lucky Daye. The single, called “You Want My Love,” is produced by Babyface, and is an updating of EWF’s classic “Can’t Hide Love,” a staple from the group’s album Gratitude.
Daye takes the initial lead vocals, providing new lyrics that extrapolate on the classic original. But then that glorious refrain comes, leading to alternating leads on a powerful second version that is all magic.
And now Lucky and EWF have just released the music video for the new song. At just over three minutes, “You Want My Love” ends quicker than I wanted, which is a great sign that it was Mission Accomplished for the two acts.
