(April 19, 2023) Eddie Levert is a living legend and one of the most recognizable voices in soul music. His ability to move from smooth soul to growling funk served him well for all these years as the lead singer for the O’Jays.

Eddie has continued with the O’Jays – now on their farewell tour – but also releases his own solo music now and then. And he has just released a new single that spotlights his immediately recognizable voice.

“It Ain’t EZ” is a bluesy ballad that gives the age old advice that what you get out is based on what you put in – for good or for bad. It has the kind of Southern Soul vibe that we don’t often hear from the soul music legend, but which he handles with aplomb.

Check out “It Ain’t EZ,” and welcome back the iconic Mr. Eddie Levert.
