(January 1, 2019) We hadn’t heard of Cleveland-based singer Donnie Lynee until this week, but we’re glad she’s hit our radar.
Donnie tells a tale with her new single, “Starting Over,” that will hit a nerve for a lot of SoulTrackers. We have all been in that kind of relationship that we knew wasn’t going where we wanted it to go, and at some point we had the tough decision as to whether we should end it and start over. And that’s what “Starting Over” is all about.
Teaming with Grammy nominees Jayshawn Champion (Usher, Toni Braxton) and Bennie Wond3r (Cardi B, Meek Mill, Donnie issues a number that starts with a hip-hop feel before developing into a cool call-and-response R&B cut.
