(January 9, 2021) Dominique Fils-Aimé is an artist from Montreal who has found significant success in her home country in recent years. On the heels of her 2020 Juno Award win, she is set to make an impact on a worldwide stage with the release of her forthcoming album and its lead single, “Love Take Over.”

Fils-Aimé provides a lush arrangement for this song, which deals with the impact female strength has on historic male supremacy. There is a focus on letting maternal instinct – and the love that is attached with it – guide our society as a whole, and expecting great change as a result.

“Love Take Over” benefits from alluring musicianship led by horns and percussion, complemented by Fils-Aimé’s vocals and harmonies.

While her previous works were rooted in jazz and blues, “Love Take Over” is deeply rooted in soul music and serves as a preview to the scope and sound of her new album, entitled Three Little Words, which is slated for a February release. Check it out below.
