Longtime SoulTrackers know that we’ve been big fans of uber-talented singer and songwriter Cleveland P. Jones for awhile now. He was voted by you as 2013 New Artist of the Year in the SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards, and his two albums and numerous guest appearances have certainly created for him a special spot with our readers.

The South Carolina native and Berklee grad is about to release a brand new song with a special meaning, affirming both the struggles of life and the reserves we have inside us to move forward together amid those struggles.

He tells us, “‘Be Right There’ is a personal tribute to my sister who recently suffered a stroke. This altered our lives. This musical movement is a triumphant testament of strength, assurance and encouragement. Our world as we know it is filled with much sadness and despair and we’re all fighting our way through the thick of it. What better way to express to someone that you love dearly, your willingness to share their battle to make life a little bit brighter…a little bit easier.”

The song features Cleve’s instantly distinguishable tenor voice and a powerful arrangement.  And now a video for the song is out. We’re proud to present it as our newest SoulTracks First Look. Check it out below and be ready to be inspired.
