It seems that we’ve entered a golden age of “sister acts” in the soul/R&B arena. Last year brought us Ibeyi, composed of the talented Diaz sisters, and this year brings us Chloe x Halle, otherwise known as Chloe and Halle Bailey. Their music is a soulful blend of R&B, pop, and hip hop influences that is distinctly their own.
The Bailey sisters have recently released their first single, “Drop,” off of their EP Sugar Symphony, which will be available on April 29. Fans of FKA Twigs, Jhene Aiko and other alternative R&B artists may find their music especially appealing. Enjoy.
