(December 15, 2018) They are a legendary act that helped to define The Sound of Philadelphia, and they’re still going strong after a half century. We’re talking about Blue Magic, known for the seminal Philly Soul ballad “Sideshow” and a basketful of other hits during the 70s and 80s.
It’s been quite awhile since we have heard new music from Blue Magic, but the group has just released a brand new single in three different mixes: a soulful ballad mix, a midtempo stepper-friendly mix, and a house dance mix. But in all three versions, “Your Love is Magic” is a very welcome return of a longtime favorite.
The new single is co-written by founding group members Wendell Sawyer and Keith Beaton, along with Fernando Key, and is produced by Derrick Ricky Nelson.
