Hailing from the South side of Chicago, Baren Abel is a singer, songwriter and producer who organically weaves nostalgic, soulful sentiments that reflect the artist’s truths at all times. Influenced by singer-songwriters ranging from Marvin Gaye to Elton John, Baren produces an emotional, honest brand of soul music.
Surrounded by acoustic guitar, finger snaps and drum, Baren’s debut song, ‘Stay,’ is an intimate, minimal, sensual affair that sounds as though it was created with sincere thoughts of one’s partner in mind. The song was also produced, sung and written by Baren himself (with additional instrumentation by Julian Bell on guitar and Chris Smith Jr on drums).
