First Listen: Ania Garvey gets us moving with “Good Love”

(December 17, 2024) Alongside producer/arranger Metro Beatz, Bahamian born and UK based singer Ania Garvey is elevating the present-day soundscape with a smooth escape back to ‘80’s groovy R&B. Attached to lyrics celebrating the joys of new love, “Good Love” is spiced with airy synths, joyful piano, plus groovy percussion and bass lines reminiscent of Gwen Guthrie’s contagious 1986 club hit “Ain ‘t Nothin’ Goin On But the Rent.”

Garvey expresses great enthusiasm over the arrival of the track and its throwback qualities: “This new single captures the essence of old-school soul and disco, bringing back those feel-good vibes that make you want to dance. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering my music, I can’t wait for you to experience the warmth and rhythm of “Good Love.”

The 45 rpm single, also set for release on vinyl, even comes with a M+M Mix of Garvey’s collaboration with T-Groove on “Let’s Feel Good,” which was handled by disco royalty John Morales.

Check out this First Listen and let us know if you’re lovin’ the new track.
