(May 10, 2020) So many of the artists who’ve become mainstays on SoulTracks passed through the halls of Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts. And so, they know Assistant Professor Andrea Capozzoli, who also happens to be quite a singer and songwriter.
We’re just getting to know Ms. Capozzoli now, via her soulful new single, “Last Goodbye.” A song with a definitive nod to the organic sounds of early 70s soul, it contains a relatable message about standing up for yourself when in a bad relationship.
Andrea says, “’Last Goodbye’ was inspired by watching a close friend go through a bad breakup. All I could think about was hoping that it would be the end of that relationship because it was a toxic situation. In my mind, I was hoping this was her last goodbye. If you feel like things aren’t right, don’t stay because we all deserve happiness in a relationship.”
Her backing band, consistin of Dmitry Ishenko (bass), Dave Ross (guitar), and Rob Mitzner (drums and producer), deliver the goods behind her, helping to create a song that should resonate with SoulTrackers.
