Some SoulTrackers may not know the name Michael J. Calhoun, but they know his music. The Grammy Award winning Cleveland native is a founding member of The Dazz Band and is an amazing guitarist in his own right.
After his split from The Dazz Band, Michael continued his career with the bands Voyeur, Identity, and the Kinsman Dazz All Stars, which had a big hit last year with the great number, “Soul Jam.” But Michael has also created a strong solo career in the Gospel world, with a series of moving singles that have won him another legion of fans around the world.
Michael’s newest single with The Holy Ghost Band, “God’s On Our Side,” is a great song with a timely message for us in these difficult days. It reminds us that, no matter what we face, God is with us and that “we have to hold on to his unchanging hand.”
