It was a great day a few years ago at SoulTracks when we first discovered singer extraordinaire Castella. Possessing a rich, powerful voice and the skills to move from soul to jazz to pop, she won us over quickly and we’ve continued to follow her progression through ten radio singles.
For her eleventh, Castella again teams with longtime collaborators Darryl Swann and Jeff Canady for a summertime jam that will get SoulTrackers moving and grooving. “Intoxicated Love” was written by Castella and Canady, and the singer slays the Stevie Wonder-type dance vibe with her playful, expressive performance.
“Intoxicated Love” is a great, contrasting follow-up to Castella’s earlier 2023 adult soul hit “I Saw You,” and shows an artist that is – pardon the pun – hitting her groove.
