Desirée Annette Weeks broke out in 1994 with the smash international hit “You Gotta Be”, making her an instant star around the world and taking the accompanying album, I Ain’t Movin’, to double platinum status. She followed with other, smaller hits, such as “Life”, and “Kissing You” (from the soundtrack of the film William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet). We haven’t heard new music from Des’ree since 2003.
