India started her music career 10 years ago as a songwriter for Chris Brown, Keri Hilson and others, and until recently issued only occasional, stand-alone singles as a solo artist. But in July she released her first full-length album, Before We Go (Deeper), which is easily one of the best R&B albums of the year. We feature here her track “Caught in the Middle,” a head-nodding tale of a complicated relationship that is anchored by serrated electric guitar lines and India’s authentic, compelling vocals. Enjoy.
