Back in 1997, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds created the supergroup Milestone to sing one song for the hit movie Soul Food. The group consisted of K-Ci and JoJo Haley along with Babyface and his brothers Kevon and Melvin. And the song, “I Care About You” was an absolute gem that stands as one of the great songs of that year.
The song was a hit, and there were discussions about the group recording an entire project together. However, timing and conflicting contracts prevented what could have been an epic album pairing. But the members did reunite to perform the song on Babyface’s MTV Unplugged album.
