Appellate Court upholds Isley Jail Sentence

A three-judge appellate court has upheld the 37-month federal prison sentence of legendary Isley Brothers lead singer Ron Isley.  The sentence was related to his 2005 conviction for tax evasion. The court referred to Isley’s continued failure to file tax returns or pay the full taxes due as "pathological" and ignored the singer’s request for a lighter sentence due to his age (66) and health.

Isley is now imprisoned at the Terre Haute Federal Corrections Institution in Indiana and is not expected to be released until 2010.
