World Premiere: Nebula Sun gives a hot Summer feel in March

nebula_sun_1_edit

(March 15, 2019) The five-piece, Norwich, England band Nebula Sun is new to us, but their expansive sound, influenced by Afrobeat, blues, jazz and soul, was definitely a win for us to find. Combining dance-focused rhythms with atmospheric melodies and meaningful lyrics, Nebula Sun creates thoughtfully crafted songs, taking the listener on a journey through unconventional structures and diverse musical experiences.

The band, consisting of Aslan King (drums), Tommy Jonson (vocals/guitar), Paul Taylor (bass), David Boyce (tenor saxophone) and Rob Milne (tenor saxophone), is ready to release a four-track debut on March 22, and we’re proud to present SoulTrackers with a World Premiere First Listen of the first single from the project.

“Merchant of Spice” is a cool mix of afro-funk and jazz that makes us feel a sweaty July evening, even as we sit here on a cold March afternoon. We think SoulTrackers will dig it too.

Check out “Merchant of Spice” below and welcome Nebula Sun to SoulTracks!
