(June 7, 2017) There weren’t many stars of the 1980s who were bigger than Billy Ocean. Beginning with the now classic “Caribbean Queen,” he put together a string of hits that had us dancing and romancing for years.
Billy is back and is issuing a special single-disc stateside edition of a 2-disc set released in the UK in 2016, Here You Are: The Music of My Life. It brings together 10 new Billy Ocean performances alongside five of the classic hits.
A thematic collection celebrating the songs that informed, influenced and inspired Billy’s own music, Here You Are: The Music of My Life features his new composition, “Here You Are.” For those who remember his ballads like “Suddenly” and “There’ll Be Sad Songs,” it’s a welcome love song and a nice return for a longtime favorite
