We’ve written several articles over the years about singer and songwriter Kea Michaels. The Pittsburgh-based performer has made a name for herself in music circles for smooth, rich vocals and her insightful – often personal – lyrics.
In her “Holla If You Hear Me,” Kea uses her lyrical gift to express feelings about the state of the world, and more particularly the need for a more equitable society. The song examines the well documented challenges of today and makes a call for a unified response of change.
Kea’s lyrical message is bathed in an elegant musical soundtrack, the beautiful result of her collaboration with producer Gerald “Butter” Glanville. And of course, her vocals are right on time, as always.
