(LOS ANGELES, CA) MetaMusic Recordings will release Yolanda Johnson’s first full-length album entitled Breathing, on September 8, 2009. The album is the follow up to her critically acclaimed EP Violet Flower.
Yolanda Johnson’s Breathing offers the listener a musical whiff of unpolluted, romantically organic, uncontaminated air. Violet Flower fans will certainly gravitate towards "On The Inside" and "I Need You," while Yolanda anticipates garnering new fans with the rawness featured in "Strut!" and "Can’t Fight the Feeling." Collectively, each song shows that this album is for everyone from the club hopper to the music connoisseur and everyone in between.
Yolanda has been in hibernation hard at work writing, creating and recording Breathing since the Fall of 2006 and is currently making the finishing touches with producers Pro Mic and S1, best known for their work with hip-hop collective Strange Fruit Project. Yolanda is overwhelmingly excited to share her art with the world.
