As we mentioned a couple months ago, Grammy-winning guitarist/producer Lee Ritenour hosts the Six String Theory Competition for the 4th year. The goal of the competition is to provide aspiring musicians with professional performing and recording opportunities, educational scholarships, mentoring and prizes.
Lee has put together a panel of advisory board judges that is a virtual “who’s who” of great musicians of the last half century. Guitar competition judges range from Toto’s Steve Lukather to country legend Vince Gill to rock master Joe Satriani. Rhythm competition judges are just as impressive, with such SoulTracks faves as Patrice Rushen, Harvey Mason and Nathan East participating.
