SoulTracks Salute: U.S Olympian Simone Manuel is Poetry in Motion

simone

(August 12, 2016) We here at SoulTracks join in the national celebration over the historic achievement by U.S. Olympic Team swimmer Simone Manuel, who last night became the first black woman to win an Olympic gold medal in an individual event, the 100-meter freestyle, setting an Olympic record while doing so.

A native of Texas, the 20-year old Manuel is scheduled to also compete in the 4X100-meter medley and 50-meter freestyle.  Don’t miss her, she’s poetry in motion and an inspiration.
