In another tragedy for the Levert family, singer Sean Levert, a former member of the singing trio Levert and brother of recently deceased singer Gerald Levert, died at Cleveland’s Lutheran Hospital after falling ill in a Cleveland jail cell, where he had been serving a sentence for failure to pay child support. The cause of death of the 39 year old Levert was not immediately known.
Sean was also the son of O’Jays lead singer, Eddie Levert. He had recently been recording a new album with fellow Levert group member Marc Gordon. The album of that new material is expected to be released this Summer under the name "Levert II."
