(February 14, 2013) The show R&B Divas was a hit this year for TV One, and the rumor mill has been on overdrive talking about changes in the show’s lineup for next year, but also about a spinoff show to be shot in Los Angeles, tentatively called, you guessed it, R&B Divas: L.A..
Well the cat is now out of the bag, as TV One has announced the R&B Divas: LA is a go, and has also announced the cast. Here’s what they had to say:
The next chapter in TV One’s highly successful R&B Divas reality franchise unfolds with new series R&B Divas: LA. Over eight episodes, the R&B Divas: LA series will follow six multi-talented ladies (Kelly Price, Chante Moore, Lil’ Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Michel’le and Dawn Robinson) as they seek to individually and collectively re-establish themselves in the pop culture limelight with new deals, new drama and new directions for their careers and their lives. Success is the only option for these six friends – but is there room at the top for them all?
It sounds like a great cast (to read more from TV One about the show, click here) We can only hope that this is a kinder, gentler R&B Divas than the first season’s escapades in Atlanta, which spent too much time on KeKe Wyatt’s instability and too little time on music.
