Detroit, MI (June 17, 2016) – 3x GRAMMY®-nominated Recording Artist KEM has announced fundraising and water collection efforts for Flint in conjunction with his Friday, June 24 concert at Chene Park in Detroit to assist with the ongoing Flint Water Crisis.
KEM and Chene Park have partnered to donate $5.00 from each concert ticket sold to The Salvation Army of Genesee County Emergency Assistance Fund. A limited number of tickets are available for the show at Ticketmaster and at the Chene Park box office.

Fans have a chance to win tickets to the show by texting KEM4FLINT to 80802 and making a donation to KEM’s fundraising campaign for Flint. Fans who text-to-donate by Tuesday, June 21 will be eligible to win two (2) premium tickets to the concert, along with backstage passes to meet KEM after the show. The winner will be randomly selected and will be notified on Wednesday, June 22. All funds collected will be donated to The Salvation Army of Genesee County to help with emergency assistance during Flint’s water crisis.
WATER DONATION:
Concert goers are encouraged to bring bottled water donations to the entrance of Chene Park on show day, which will be donated to Flint collection efforts. Volunteers will be collecting water donations from 12:30pm until 8:30pm on June 24 at The Salvation Army truck that will be staged near the Chene Park box office at 2600 Atwater St., Detroit, MI 48207.
“Although we see the Flint Water Crisis in the news less frequently these days, families there are still in need of our assistance,” said KEM. “I’m so appreciative that Chene Park and The Salvation Army have partnered with me in order to continue the effort to lend support to the Flint community.”

KEM will present a check that includes all funds raised to Major Jim McDowell, Divisional Secretary of Business for The Salvation Army EasternMichigan Division at Chene Park during his show on Friday, June 24.
