Grammy Awards to feature tributes to Prince and George Michael

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2017) — The Recording Academy® has announced plans to honor two-time GRAMMY® winner George Michael and seven-time GRAMMY winner Prince with two unforgettable tribute segmentson the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards®. While specific details for the tribute performances, including who will participate in each, remain under wraps, previously announced performers include Adele, Kelsea Ballerini, William BellChance The RapperGary Clark Jr., Daft Punk, Andra Day, Cynthia Erivo, Tori KellyAlicia Keys, Lady Gaga, John LegendLittle Big TownDemi LovatoLukas Graham, Bruno MarsMetallicaMaren MorrisAnderson .Paak,Katy PerrySturgill SimpsonA Tribe Called QuestCarrie UnderwoodKeith Urban, and The Weeknd. Taking place at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television NetworkSunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Award-winning television personality and performer James Corden will serve as host for the first time.
