R.I.P. Grady Wilkins, musical director of the Whispers

(December 20, 2013) We are sorry to report some bad news to SoulTrackers. Grady Wilkins, the music director for the legendary group The Whispers, has died after a long battle with cancer.  Earlier this Fall, the group and their fans had rallied around Grady, raising money for his treatment. Sadly, treatments were unsuccessful and Grady passed yesterday.

The Whispers Facebook page included the following note from the group: “Our dearly beloved music director Grady Wilkins passed on today. He fought a good fight and may he rest in peace. We will be providing more information as his going away celebration is planned. For now your prayers are appreciated.”

Wilkins was a great talent and a longtime integral part of one of the most beloved R&B acts of the past half century. He will be greatly missed.
