Sum Blues

Threshold_-_Sum_Blues.jpg

Linda Taylor (from ABC's Who's Line Is It Anyway? comedy improv show) presents her band Threshold with her debut CD "Sum Blues."  This veteran band features Linda Taylor (guitar), Laval Belle (drummer – Earth, Wind & Fire), Del Atkins (bassist – Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige), Mikal Majeed (organist – Rick Zunigar), Ed Roth (keyboardist – Coolio, The Brothers Johnson), Catte Adams (singer – Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole), Janelle Sadler (singer – Natalie Cole, Ozzy Osbourne), Angela Carole Brown (lead singer) and guest artist Keb' Mo' on the title track.

Sum Blues effectively touches on a number of social issues, including politics and war, life and social issues, with messages reminiscent of the Conscious Poet, Gil Scott Heron and Arrested Development  and a musical style that should appeal to fans of acoustic adult-oriented such as Tuck and Patti and Tracy Chapman.  It is a quality album that should find an audience among adult audiences.
